CLI

Keep the development environment across PHP saves

0.2.0-alpha.43

Update PHP sources while retaining execution and the DB connection in compatible development environments.

Saving PHP code during development

In compatible development environments, nexia dev applies PHP source changes to the existing execution. Execution and the DB connection are retained, and rejected changes leave the previous code running. After reconnecting, interrupted update requests recover the result of the original request. Saving code does not rerun migrations or seeders.

Updating and compatibility

Run nexia update, confirm 0.2.0-alpha.43 or later with nexia --version, then gracefully stop and restart development watching. Core 0.8.156 and the compatible runtime from Manager 0.1.0-alpha.77 are also required. Updating the CLI alone does not upgrade an existing sandbox runtime. Existing environments keep their previous preparation behavior until prepared with a compatible runtime.

Run schema changes and seeders explicitly with the appropriate nexia db commands. SDK and dependency changes must be supported by the selected runtime.
